Price and process
What does a software project cost?
We cannot answer that without looking — but after the first meeting you get a written, itemised quote. The figure in that quote is fixed; if the work grows we ask you first. A small automation can be a few days of work, a full tracking system can take months.
Is the first meeting chargeable?
No. We listen to the problem and tell you whether it can be done and roughly how long it takes. If no work comes of it, that is fine.
How quickly do you deliver?
We put a date in the quote and we keep to it. We also do not disappear for months — working parts are shown early, so anything going wrong can be corrected in time.
How does payment work?
Usually we split the work into stages and invoice at the end of each. We do not ask for the whole amount up front.
Data and security
Where does our data live?
Wherever you want it. Our systems can run on your own servers, in which case the data never leaves your building. We will set up cloud hosting if you prefer — but that is a choice, not a requirement.
What do you do about data protection compliance?
We keep collected data to a minimum, set up a privacy notice and consent record, define retention periods, and build the infrastructure to answer data subject requests. The legal review belongs to your lawyer — we build the technical side.
Who owns the source code?
You do. The source code of custom software we develop is handed over to you. If you want to work with someone else tomorrow, your hands are not tied.
If you use AI, does our data go there?
That depends entirely on the setup, and you are told plainly which one you have. We can build systems around locally running models where the data never leaves at all.
Working together
Can you migrate the data from our current program?
Yes, we do this often. The legacy database is analysed, checked for loss and inconsistency, and verified after migration. The old system can keep running in parallel for a while.
Can we take support only?
Yes. Even where we did not write the software, we can take on maintenance, backup and security for your existing systems.
Do you work on site or remotely?
Both. Installation and training are usually on site; day-to-day support is remote.
We are a small company — will you work with us?
Yes. We decide on the clarity of the problem, not the size of the contract. A small job described clearly beats a large one described vaguely.
